Smelter furnace blast kills 12 in Indonesia’s Morowali nickel industrial park

Twelve people were killed and dozens injured in an explosion at a smelter furnace in Indonesia's Morowali nickel industrial park, local media said on Sunday, reports Reuters. 

The blast on Sulawesi Island occurred during furnace maintenance at 5:30am (2130 GMT), the reports said.
