An explosion has rocked an area of the Afghan capital Kabul on Saturday near many foreign embassies and government buildings.
The cause of the blast could not be known immediately, Reuters reporters said.
There were reports of casualties.
The blast came a week after a deadly attack on the Intercontinental Hotel in the city.
