Hungary reports African swine fever in domestic pigs for first time

Hungary reported ​African swine fever ‌in domestic pigs for ​the first ​time, the National ⁠Food Chain ​Safety Office ​said in a statement on Thursday.

Authorities ​ordered the ​culling of 3,000 ‌pigs ⁠on the farm that is affected, and ​they ​are ⁠investigating the source ​of the ​infection ⁠and whether it ⁠has ​spread further, ​the statement said.
