Iran's foreign minister says 'Project Freedom is Project Deadlock'

Iranian Foreign Minister issued a warning on X following US President Donald Trump’s claim that American forces had “shot down” seven Iranian “fast boats” in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a BBC report Tuesday.

“Events in Hormuz make clear that there's no military solution to a political crisis,” he wrote.

“As talks are making progress with Pakistan's gracious effort, the US should be wary of being dragged back into quagmire by ill-wishers.

“So should the UAE. Project Freedom is Project Deadlock.”

As a reminder, Project Freedom is the name of the US military plan to guide stranded commercial ships out of the Strait of Hormuz.
