Israeli forces have targeted multiple facilities in Iran, including a site used to produce centrifuges in Tehran, according to a report by Al Jazeera.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the Israeli military said the strikes were part of “an extensive effort to damage Iran’s nuclear weapons development programme.” The attacks reportedly included weapons manufacturing sites and a centrifuge production facility in the capital.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that two of Iran’s centrifuge production facilities were hit. These included a workshop in Karaj and the Tehran Nuclear Research Center.

“At the Tehran site, one building was hit where advanced centrifuge rotors were manufactured and tested; and at Karaj, two buildings were destroyed where different centrifuge components were manufactured,” the IAEA said on X (formerly Twitter).
