Elon Musk, CEO of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, has reacted to the resignation of UK Treasury minister Tulip Siddiq, by sharing a post on his social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).
“The Labour minister for child welfare shields the predators and their anti-corruption minister is corrupt,” Musk wrote on his handle on Wednesday, retweeting a post made by Mario Nawfal.
Tulip Siddiq, daughter of Sheikh Rehana and niece of the ousted prime minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, resigned as a UK Treasury minister on Tuesday amid a corruption row.
Siddiq had been under increasing pressure over ties to her aunt Hasina and the use of properties in London linked to pro-Hasina oligarchs.
