Myanmar car crash kills five

At least five people have been killed and 19 others wounded in a car crash in Gwa township, Myanmar's Rakhine state, the Home Affairs Ministry said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Gwa-Ngathaingchaung road on Monday night, reports Xinhua.

A 12-wheeled car carrying a traditional cultural troupe named Aung San Pwint fell into a ravine at a depth of 457 meters, killing a female performer, a vocalist and three other staff at 7:30 pm local time.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
