Sparking hope for child-friendly spaces

A city needs diverse playgrounds and child-friendly areas to support the physical and mental development of children. Dhaka, in particular, lacks such spaces where parents can take their kids for both recreational and educational purposes. To tackle this problem, the youth members of JCI Dhaka Mavericks have taken the initiative to create a welcoming environment for young families, offering them a fun-filled day alongside other children and families. JCI Dhaka Mavericks is a local chapter of JCI Bangladesh, a youth network focused on uniting young individuals to drive positive societal changes. JCI Dhaka Mavericks and Mystical Events organised the "Kids Day Out Programme-2023" at the Celebrity Convention Hall at Gulshan, Dhaka recently. The event was attended by over 1,200 children and families.

The event featured a wide variety of activities and workshops, including music shows, storytime, toy zone, play zone, puzzle zone, photo booth, candy floss, movie time, crafting, goody bag, game zone, desert island, tower builders, animal farm, face painting, and cake decoration. There was also a talent showcase where children could display their talents in a variety of categories, including music, dance, art, and more.The event was considered successful, and the organisers were thrilled with the turnout. "We are so happy to see the overwhelming response to the 'Kids Day Out Programme-2023,'" said Sajin Mahjivan Haseeb, founder and CEO of Mystical Event. "This event was a great opportunity for children to showcase their talents and have some fun, and we are grateful to all of the sponsors and participants who made it possible."

Irfan Uddin, president of JCI Dhaka Mavericks, echoed Haseeb's sentiments. "We are proud to have partnered with Mystical Event to organise this event," he said. "It was a great way to raise awareness about child rights and celebrate the talents of our youth."

The "Kids Day Out Programme-2023" garnered a fantastic reception from families in Dhaka, highlighting a strong desire for events that showcase children's talents. The organisers are dedicated to establishing this as an annual tradition and are optimistic that its popularity will steadily increase in the future.
