Students are becoming more proactive with their free time in an era where Generation Z is defined by creativity, innovation, and hard work. This generation is dedicated to making the most of every second of their lives and turning downtime into chances for skill development and personal development.

Examining the experiences of different students in 2024 as they get ready for the semester break reveals colourful endeavours that demonstrate their commitment and imagination.

Skill development

Dhaka depicts the picture of a music enthusiast at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, A.T.M. Shadman Anam, who is a final-year finance major who personifies the proactive nature of Generation Z.

He sees this vacation as an opportunity to improve his abilities through extracurricular pursuits like graphic design, barista training, band guitar, and IELTS exam practice.

On a similar note, Md. Zahin Mahdi is a digital art enthusiast and an undergraduate student at Army IBA who spends his breaks creating animation and visual effects. He has mastered VFX and 3D animation and is learning new languages, particularly Arabic.

Hamed Hasan Emad, a final-year student from Army IBA, believes the same; he's focused on helping students acquire the skills they will need in the workplace. His dedication to community involvement and personal development inspires his peers.

Social responsibility

In moments of crisis, students have taken responsibility. The generation was once blamed for using mobile phones only to do wonders. They don't waste their time anymore. Nusrat Jahan Noushi, an Army IBA undergraduate student, is one of these students who is responsible for the results of her work.

She continued her volunteer work during the breaks. She has a strong interest in history and has studied important books to broaden her knowledge of her nation's past and volunteerism.

Socialization and personal growth

Socialization and personal growth are essential for everyone, and semester breaks are the right time to achieve them. Maliha Binte Alam, who loves foreign languages, uses her break times during the semester to learn new languages. She is a student in Daffodil International University's Nutrition and Food Engineering Department. She also focuses on self-improvement and watches a variety of TV shows, movies, and anime.

Creativity and exploring passion

Semester breaks are the perfect time to do creative work, explore different ideas, or nurture a passion for oneself. One can also start their entrepreneurial journey. Nusrat Jahan Ahana, a second-year law student at Primeasia University, during her break plants trees and uses her artistic talent to paint as a volunteer. She then started her business ventures as an entrepreneur, running her handcrafted jewellery company.

Considering these exceptional students' experiences reveals that they all represent a unique fusion of initiative, hard work, and inventiveness.

Their tales encourage us to make the most of our own free time by serving as a constant reminder that every second can be a chance for growth and development.

These youngsters represent Generation Z's ability not only to adapt but also to flourish in a rapidly changing world, providing a robust model for others to follow.

These kids, who are committed to their development and creating a better future for their country, are Bangladesh's future leaders, and they will lead the country well into the future.
