Bangladeshi scholar Dr Pranab Kumar Panday published a signed commentary titled "The Rise of China and the End of Western Colonial Ambitions," in which he spoke highly of China's role as a responsible major power in international affairs.
Dr Panday stated that that China is committed to building a more equitable and inclusive world order, and that China's peaceful rise will contribute to the collapse of Western hegemony.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the global power landscape has undergone profound changes, and a rising China has grown into a powerful challenger to Western hegemony. Empowered by rapid economic growth, China has developed rapidly. Relying on the Belt and Road Initiative and other global public goods, China has shared its development dividends with the world, while increasing overseas investment and deepening partnerships with other countries.
The development and progress of science and technology have greatly enhanced China's international competitiveness, especially in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy and space exploration, and China has stood at the forefront of the world.
China's influence on the global diplomatic stage has also continued to increase, gradually breaking the Western hegemony and discourse monopoly in international affairs. China is committed to improving global public health, poverty reduction and climate change control. It has not only established itself as a responsible major country, but also strengthened solidarity and cooperation with third world countries and promoted the building of a new multipolar world order featuring mutual respect and non-interference.
