The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has initiated the budget preparation process for the fiscal year 2024–25 (FY25), as it has sought budget proposals from different trade bodies and other stakeholders, including professional organisations, research firms, intellectuals, and taxpayers from all strata.

All chambers and trade associations should send their budget proposals to the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and soft copies of those proposals to the revenue board at [email protected] by February 4, the NBR said in a press release.

Moreover, those who are not members of different chambers and associations can also send their budget proposals to the revenue board in person or via email, it said.

Individuals can also send their budget proposals in person or via email, the NBR added.

The NBR said it wants to develop a budget that is more public-oriented, taxpayer-friendly, business-friendly, and representative. To achieve this, it is seeking budget proposals from various organisations as well as from individuals.
