Bangladesh Agricultural University to be represented globally by TEDxBAU

TED is a global community, that welcomes people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. They believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and, ultimately, the world. A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and performances are shared with the community. The "x" in the TEDx represents an independently organised TED event. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
TED believes in spreading ideas throughout communities. So time to time they provide licences to the universities capable of spreading ideas to organie TEDx events independently. Following the renowned universities of Bangladesh including BUET, KUET, RUET, NSU, BSMRAU, and SUST, and now, Bangladesh Agricultural University is licenced to arrange TEDx events independently on campus. The students of the Bangladesh Agricultural University Career Club (BAUCC) are organising the TEDxBAU event for the very first time. They are going to represent BAU in this international platform where most of the successors' acclamations are present.
This year, TEDxBAU is going to be held on December 24. The theme of this event is: "Let's Protect The Future We Choose".
This programme holds great significance for the students of Bangladesh Agricultural University as well as the life science sector community. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Lutful Hasan will be the chief guest at this event. Speakers of this programme are: author and online educator Sadman Sadik, filmmaker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, animator, cartoonist, and author Antik Mahmud, scientist Professor Dr Md Mahmudul Hasan Sikder, Mechanization Specialist Professor Md Monjurul Alam, marketer andbusiness analyst Md Tajdin Hassan, Climate Policy Advocate, Global Facilitator, UNEP Zuhair Ahmed Kowshik, and Professional Icon, Energy Specialist Jakaria Jalal.
Regarding this event, the president of BAUCC, Professor Dr Md Hamidul Islam remarked, “For the very first time such an internationally recognised event is being organised at Bangladesh Agricultural University. Kudos to BAUCC for taking the initiative to arrange such an event. Events of such calibre are always appreciated. I always try to support their initiatives. They will shine brightly in the near future.”
Sopnil Islam Jahin, the general secretary of the club, stated, "We are trying to do something out of the box for the very first time on our campus. Our vision is to make our university's principles visible on all international platforms. Our coordinators Anasuya and Opi are working extremely hard to make this event a success. We have high hopes for this programme."
Overall, TEDxBAU is undoubtedly a fantastic addition to the work of BAUCC. A bunch of change-makers in this organisation are showing their brilliance. Anasuya Chakroborty Annya and Shahed Zakir Opi are two dreamers constructing a trailblazing experience for the students of this university. Members of the Bangladesh Agricultural University Career Club will reach a milestone thanks to this programme which will mirror their motto, “Always Better Than Before”.
