Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) authorities have decided to offer online classes from April 23 to 25, considering the students' various physical problems due to the intense heat wave. However, the theoretical and practical tests will continue.

On Monday (April 22), at 11:30 a.m., a meeting was held in the animal husbandry faculty meeting room. The Dean's Counsel decided to take online classes from April 23 to 25. The Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Shajeda Akhter, confirmed the matter.

The notification informed that considering various physical problems, including disruptions of students coming to class due to heat waves across the country, it has been decided to go online from April 23 to 25, while theoretical and practical exams of various faculties of different levels are ongoing.

Dr. Shajeda Akhter said that due to the ongoing heat wave, the Dean Council members have recommended that the classes be taken online only, keeping the exams ongoing to avoid health risks. However, all exams will continue as usual.

University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury said, 'Considering the intense heat flow, it has been decided to take the daily classes online from April 23 to 25. If the situation deteriorates, i.e., this heat wave continues, the administration will increase the activities. Otherwise, the class will resume physically as before.'
