'Beyond The Metrics:' Leveling up business and technology for transcending the barriers

The Business and Technology Management Department at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) launched the very first edition of Beyond The Metrics - a flagship event that will take place on 18th March 2023 at the IUT campus. 

This festival will offer six signature events tailored towards business and technology enthusiasts from all around Bangladesh, including top colleges, schools and universities. 

Beyond The Metrics 2023 aims to provide a platform for young minds to present their creative ideas in front of the entire nation in a competitive way. To bring together all associated persons in the sector, the festival encourages business and technological activities, igniting interest among all Bangladeshi students and professionals.

The event has an attractive schedule and a theme of 'Leveling Up Business and Technology for Transcending the Barriers,' enticing business enthusiasts' excitement nationwide. The festival is designed to provide a platform for students and professionals to showcase their creativity and innovation and compete against one another in various fields such as business, entrepreneurship, and technology. 

The Product Development Summit is one of the main attractions offered by the event. This flagship one-of-a-kind event is designed to provide valuable knowledge, insights, and experiences on product development from industry experts and product development managers. 

Beyond The Metrics is a registration-based event, and the portal is open for all to join. No business festival can be complete without a business case competition and ad-making contest, and Beyond the Metrics is no different. The event will host a Business Case Competition consisting of three consecutive rounds and AdMania, an ad-making business case competition comprising two rounds. Registered teams will have ample opportunity to showcase their creativity and innovation for both competitions. 

University students can also avail themselves of the opportunity to participate in the Project Display segment, where they will make a prototype on themes like Agro-Tech, Sustainable Energy, Environmental Technology, and Transportation Technology. 

There will be three other events for school and college students - Wall Magazine, Project Display and Quiz Competition. For the Wall Magazine, teams will be given a related business and technology topic. They will need to make a wall magazine and bring it on the event day. The interactive quiz competition will be conducted with the participants, and the best quizzers will be awarded prize money.

Beyond The Metrics is an excellent opportunity for students and professionals alike to connect with like-minded individuals, explore new ideas, and compete against each other. Strategic minds from every corner of the country will come together at this event.

With this idea and similar aspirations in mind, the Business and Technology Management Department is arranging Beyond The Metrics for the first time this year. The organising team is planning to make it grander than previous initiatives.
