The Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA) has unveiled a year-long programme to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
The announcement was made at a press conference held on the Alumni floor of the university's senate building on Friday.
With an opening ceremony at the TSC Auditorium, the programme kicks off today (Saturday) at 3 pm.
The event will feature former and current DUAA executive committee members, along with the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal.
A highlight of the year-long celebrations will be a reunion for alumni, to be held in November-December. The prime minister will be invited to join it as the chief guest.
Alumni Week, another key event, will take place from 11-17 May at the TSC.
The week will showcase an exhibition of the association's past activities and publications, along with a documentary screening.
