A two-day e-commerce exposition has been being held at BRAC University in Dhaka city since Sunday, aiming to help promote the sector among young entrepreneurs.
Organised by BIZ BEE, the business club of the university, the event – ‘The e-carnival 3.0’ – is to end on Monday. It is the third consecutive edition of the exposition.
BIZ BEE President Shafayat Khan Shihab told the FE that huge numbers of students were visiting as a variety of products were availble at the fair.
As many as 3000 visitors visited the exposition on the first day of the event, he said, adding that the number would be double by the end of the second and last day of the event.
Ornaments and jerseys were mostly being sold. But T-shirts, mugs, posters, books, bags, and dresses had a good demand too, Khan said.
Some 20 entrepreneurs are participating in the exposition this year.
