Ed-tech platform Interactive Cares raises US$220,000

Bangladesh-based Interactive Cares, an educational technology platform, recently secured US $220,000 in pre-seed A funding. Rare Al Samir and Jamila Bupasha Khushbu created the business. Founded in Bangladesh, the firm offers one-stop virtual A digital learning company called Edtech wants to provide Bangladesh's 3.7 million unemployed youths employability. Within the next few years, the company wants to place 1.0 million people in jobs. As for a 1.0 per cent decrease in unemployment, the GDP will grow by 4.0 per cent. This is a significant issue, and Interactive Cares wants to help find a solution.

Several institutional investors, including Flagship Ventures and Blue Aura Ventures in the United States, as well as angel investor Mohammad Maaz, took part in the round. Flagship Ventures is a Bangladesh-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage startups in order to accelerate the growth of the Bangladesh startup industry. Mohammad Maaz is a serial entrepreneur and Angel Investor who focuses on early-stage technology firms. Blue Aura Ventures, based in Dover, Delaware, is a venture capital firm that aggressively invests in the e-commerce, fintech, food tech, automotive, and ed-tech industries. This investment round was also attended by other significant investors.

The business, which was established in 2020, promotes employability through educational programmes, job routes, and learning trajectories. The company has so far attracted 85,000 paying users, offered 107 courses, partnered with more than 100 businesses, and most significantly, placed more than 5,000 people in jobs. The company's long-term strategy is to ensure local talent is hired and placed in the global market while also developing scalable technologies for easy hiring and placement. In conjunction with regional, national, and international colleges and businesses, Interactive Cares will concentrate on developing increasingly complex certification programmes.

The company is developing a concept in which registered students will receive certifications from Interactives Cares collaborating partner universities as well as positions from the partner company once the course is completed. "As a result, our company will serve as a bridge, bridging the gap between academia and industry, which is one of the leading causes of unemployment," explains Rare Al Samir, one of Interactive Cares' founders.

Interactive Cares was chosen for the most recent cohort of SuperCharger Ventures, the largest ed-tech-focused virtual accelerator programme run by cross-border venture capital firm SuperCharger Ventures in London. Among more than 300 Global Startups, Interactive Cares is the first Bangladeshi startup to be accepted into the SCV accelerator programme in a new format. The cohort startups will receive up to US $270,000 in investment as well as access to SuperCharger Ventures' network of investors, mentors, and corporate partners.

SuperCharger Ventures runs a three-month accelerator programme focused on ed-tech that provides startups access to clients, funding, and mentorship. The programme also helps selected companies to "accelerate growth and expand internationally over the course of the programme."
