Prof Amanullah appointed new vice-chancellor at National University

Prof ASM Amanullah of the Department of Sociology at Dhaka University has been appointed as the new vice chancellor at the National University.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Education issued a notice after receiving the approval of university Chancellor President Mohammed Shahabuddin for the appointment.

The notice said that as per the approval of the president and chancellor, Amanullah has been appointed as the vice chancellor of National University under five conditions.

The conditions are as follows:

(A). The appointment for the post will be applicable for four years from the date of joining

(B). He will receive salary and allowances equivalent to his current post.

(C). He will enjoy other benefits of the new post as per the rules.

(D). As the chief executive officer of the university, he will reside on the university campus.

(E). The president and chancellor can scrap the appointment at any time.

Prof ASM Amanullah will replace Prof Moshiur Rahman, who recently resigned from the post of vice chancellor.
