Socialist Students' Front claims that this new curriculum has been imposed on the students without any preparation.
Socialist Students' Front spoke about the National Curriculum on the 40th anniversary of its establishment on Sunday, January 21, at Aparajeya Bangla at Dhaka University.
The rally was held as part of the year-long program announcement by blowing balloons at the student rally.
The speakers questioned the state of education in the country after 53 years of independence. The main streams of current education are private and commercial.
"The education program is running on the principle of 'Taka jar shikkha tar'," Rashid Feroze, General Secretary of the Socialist Party of Bangladesh' mentioned.
"Today, there is a totalitarian crisis everywhere from primary education to university education. The right to education for all is still eluded."
Highlighting the DUCSU election, he remarked that the university administration has no interest in holding an election as important as DUCSU.
