SSC results on May 12

Results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations of this year will be published on May 12, according to reports published by local news portals on Friday citing their sources at the education ministry.

Earlier, the education boards forwarded a proposal to the Ministry of Education for selecting the possible dates of May 9, 10 and 11 for publishing the result. Then the ministry forwarded the proposal to the Prime Minister’s Office.

On Thursday, Prime Minister’s Office directed the education ministry to publish the results on May 12, the reports said.

Meanwhile, education ministry spokesman Mohammad Abdul Khair said in a statement the results will be presented to the prime minister during an event at Ganabhaban at 10:00 am on May 12.

Afterwards, the prime minister will officially make the results available. Students will be able to check their results on the websites of their respective education boards or through their schools.

The SSC and equivalent examinations of this year started on February 15. Some 20,24,192 students appeared in the examinations under eleven education boards.

This year's SSC and equivalent written examinations concluded on March 12. The practical examinations ended on March 20.
