Uttara University has secured the 257th position in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, moving up from 276th last year, placing it among the top 400 most innovative universities globally.
This 19-position improvement reflects the university’s continued focus on innovation, real-world impact, and transformative education, says a media release.
The WURI Ranking, known for assessing universities based on creativity, innovation, and societal contribution, rather than traditional academic metrics, places Uttara University among globally recognised institutions driving change through meaningful initiatives.
In addition to its overall global ranking, Uttara University has earned top positions in several key categories, showcasing the university’s excellence across multiple dimensions of innovation and institutional impact:
1st globally in Infrastructure/Technologies
9th in University Brand and Reputation
10th in SDG-Based Responses to Global Challenges
These distinctions underscore Uttara University’s rising global profile and reflect its focused investment in building a modern academic ecosystem, one that blends infrastructure, technology, sustainability, and global engagement.
