Endometriosis affects around 15pc women of reproductive age: Study

Around 15 per cent of women suffer from endometriosis, a rare and hidden disease of female reproductive age (15–49 years), as its symptoms are similar to menstruation cramps.

ACME’s Gynocare shared the information in the two scientific seminars held at the East West University and North South University recently, in order to create awareness on endometriosis disease, marking the observance of the month of March worldwide.

Prof Dr Neaz t Parveen, a renowned gynaecologist, who conducted the scientific session at East West University, said that untreated endometriosis affects female patients with many complications, including infertility.

Another renowned gynaecologist Associate Prof Dr Joysree Saha conducted the scientific session at North South University.

VC of East West University Professor Dr Md Shams-ur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, chairperson of Department of Pharmacy Professor Dr Md Amirul Islam, Md Mahbubur Rahman, Manager-Marketing of ACME Laboratories Ltd, and Muaz Bin Zabal, Asst Manager-Marketing, ACME Laboratories ltd were present.

Program Dean of School of Health and Life Sciences Dr Hasan Mahmud Reza, Chairman Assoc Prof Dr Md Mahbubur Rahman, Lecturer and Faculty Advisor of NSU Pharmaceutical Club Junayet Hossain Khan, Md Mahbubur Rahman, Manager-Marketing of ACME Laboratories ltd, Muaz Bin Zabal, Asst Manager-Marketing of ACME Laboratories ltd were present, according to a press release.
