The government has sent five secretaries and one Grade-1 officer into compulsory retirement.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate official notifications in this regard on Thursday night, according to local media.
Those sent into retirement include Kazi Enamul Hasan, Director General (Secretary) of the Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board; Sukesh Kumar Sarker, Director General (Secretary) of the National Academy for Planning and Development; Muhammad Ibrahim, Chairman (Secretary) of the Land Appeal Board; Dr. Md. Shahid Ullah, Rector (Secretary) of the National Academy for Development Administration; and Mohammad Salah Uddin, Secretary (on Special Duty).
