Role: FRONTEND ENGINEER (SDE II)

Job Responsibility:

• Create functional and technical concepts for scalable, reliable, and secure web applications by utilising established and state-of-the-art software design patterns.
• Review business requirements and ability to perform a technical analysis of requirements and participate in the estimation process.
• Contribute towards developing, maintaining, and shipping the web frontend of our application.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to understand user needs and create user-centred designs.
• Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Optimise the performance of the frontend to ensure fast load times and smooth user interactions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in front-end technologies and frameworks.
• Assist the talent acquisition team in moderating live coding tests that usually occur late at night.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, developing web apps, and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next, or Vue.js.
• Experience with tailwind CSS.
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALITIES

It’s preferred that the candidate has experience in:

• Frontend testing frameworks and tools.
• Webpack or similar build tools.
• CSS preprocessors such as SASS.
• CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
• JavaScript libraries such as jQuery or Lodash.
• Web accessibility guidelines.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Graphic design or user interface design.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Salary and Benefits

• BDT 60,000 to BDT 80,000.
