Role: Trade  marketing manager 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop trade marketing strategies aligned with the brand strategy to pursue company and category objectives.
  • Work as a critical junction between Sales and Marketing functions to generate the most effective commercial outcome for the organization.
  • Drives development and execution of Channel strategy and tactics for Arla Bangladesh.
  • Do the necessary analyses and lead action on Assortment, Shelf/merchandising, Promotions, and Price by appropriate in-store and in-market activities according to customer mission.
  • Drive category value by right promotion, placement, visibility, and activities.
  • Develops and owns the guidelines for POP Strategy by category, segment, customer, and objective.
  • Develop and implement innovative and effective visibility and merchandising solutions.
  • Develop strategy and plans to facilitate trade loyalty and advocacy toward Arla Foods Bangladesh.
  • Track and observe competition pricing, activities, and campaigns with the sales team, update relevant stakeholders, and propose plans in the light of the competitive landscape and market dynamics.
  • Develop customer, category, channel, activity-specific analyses and argumentations to BAM and/or customers to drive Arla Foods category growth.
  • Ensures customer and shopper insights and develops execution plans for launches and BAU.
  • Responsible for the collation, synthesis, and dissemination of insights on shop-per/customers, consumers, and retailers from multiple sources and assisted Brand, Sales, and RTM teams in taking appropriate strategy and execution.
  • Lead Promotional Performance meetings.
  • Partner with Sales to develop training modules and content to facilitate trade marketing skills of the frontline team.
  • Pursue solutions for product preservations and reduce damage from retail stores.
  • Develop both Short and Long term Trade Marketing plans in aligning the Brand and Sales team, and leading the team to execute accordingly.
  • Owning yearly trade marketing budget, and effective and efficient utilization of it, to drive target achievement.
  • Role-playing in different cross-functional projects as a key contributor.

Requirements: 

  • BBA/MBA (preferably from a Marketing background) from any public/private university.
  • More than 8 years of experience in Sales and Marketing including at least 3 years in Trade Marketing.
  • First-hand working experience in multiple innovation projects – from ideation to commercialization.
  • Experience working in a team environment with cross-functions collaboration.
  • Proven experience in Customer, Trade Channel, Promotion, and Engagement management including ideation to execution with positive financial and business outcomes.
  • Experience in team management – recruitment, development, task management.
