Role: Vice Principal

Job Responsibilities: 

  • To update the modules as required, impart teaching, support the Instructors, and train them to acquire both pedagogical and clinical skills.
  • To facilitate mentoring sessions at the academic sites, provide inputs to the mentors to develop the succession plans.
  • To provide on-the-job training and identify needs for capacity building in individual teaching staff and midwives.
  • To support students through instructors to overcome individual crises, arrange special support for students with special needs.
  • To ensure that all activities in the academic sites follow the academic calendar with quality.
  • Monitor class conduction to ensure strict adherence to the academic calendar and fulfilment of set standards and conduct classes as well.
  • Maintain and prepare the skill labs for specific session demonstrations and teach students based on the lesson plan and the academic calendar.
  • Develop individual's clinical skills & competency as a part of continuous development and conduct classroom teaching related to simulation practice/skills.
  • Conduct an assessment of student's performance and communicate with fellow faculty regarding the unsatisfactory or unsafe performance of the students.
  • Develop modular exam questionnaires including OSCE guidelines in close collaboration with fellow faculty.
  • Prepare result sheets of each assessment by the following day without any failure.
  • Maintain communication with the team at HUB for academic purposes maintaining proper communication channels and keeping supervisor in the loop.
  • Maintain communication with BNMC regarding student affairs and prepare related documents.
  • Conduct an assessment of student's performance and communicate with fellow faculty regarding the unsatisfactory or unsafe performance of the students.

  • Orient students to the clinical sites, interact with clients and identify gaps in service delivery, evaluate students' competencies during service delivery.
  • Responsible for effective implementation of the project along with satisfactory community and clinical placement of students and graduates' midwives for internship.
  • Represent HUB at the national level technical meetings and provide meaningful input.
  • Work with the Director General Nursing and Midwifery, Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council, Obs-Gynae Society of Bangladesh (OGSB) & BMS, etc.
  • Carry out any other activities as and when assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements: 

  • MSc & BSc in Nursing from a reputed Nursing College.
  • An additional degree in Midwifery will be a priority.
  • Only females are allowed to apply.
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in any reputed Nursing College/Institution.
  • Ability to organize work under pressure & set priorities.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
