icddr,b is offering a Research Fellowship Programme 

icddr,b  is an international health research organization located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Maternal and Child Health division of icddr,b offers a fellowship program (Research Fellow) for individuals who are interested in developing a career in public health research and currently in the formative stage. The Research Fellow will work under the direct supervision of eminent public health researchers and receive hands-on training, exposure, and experience at icddr,b. The fellowship program is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of the individuals to become independent researchers at icddr,b.

Role: Research Fellow

Job Responsibilities:

The Research Fellow will be reporting to the PI or delegate. The fellow is expected to contribute to evidence synthesis under the guidance of the PI. Some of the specific responsibilities may include (assisting the PI in) the:

• Develop search strategies for systematic reviews.
• Execute search strategies for systematic reviews in international databases;
• Perform screening and data extraction from published articles.
• Conduct narrative synthesis and meta-analysis.
• Write technical reports and briefs.
• Develop manuscripts.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline (such as Public Health/Social Science/Population Science/Statistics/Applied Statistics/Biostatistics/Epidemiology/Nutrition/ Development Studies/ Bioinformatics/ Information Technology/ Health Economics) or MBBS from a reputed institute with excellent academic records.

• Young, bright individuals who meet the following criteria and are aspiring to develop their careers as public health researchers at icddr,b are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• Must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to identify substantive problems, and the creative capacity to resolve these problems. S/he should be proactive, dynamic, and capable of working independently.

Job Location: Dhaka

Salary: Tk 51,090/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.
