Role: Deputy Manager 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Plan, execute, and Manage the adaptation clinic component of the program to address technical solutions for the farmer's immediate problems and long-term climatic challenges. 
• Provide necessary technical support on crop management including cropping plan, disease, pest, and fertilizer management at farmer's field. 
• Prepare technical training modules on crop production technologies and provide training and orientation to the program participants.
• Support program development team in designing climate adaptive agriculture interventions for the smallholder farmers to increase yield, income, and resilience. 
• Promote agri- mechanization and improved storage facilities both at the community and household levels.
• Participatory, site-specific mapping, beneficiary selection, and mobilization of community-based management structures for climate-adaptive agricultural solutions.
• Strengthen climate-resilient value chains and market linkages for alternative, resilient livelihoods.
• Establish and maintain a quality liaison and coordinate with local, regional, and national level stakeholders.
• Supervise and Monitor the project activities related to the project outputs and outcomes.
• Bring innovations to the farmers' fields to make them resilient to climate change impacts.
• Conduct a socio-economic study on the adoption of best practices and evaluation of climate-smart technology at farmers' fields.

Requirements:

• Post Graduation preferably in Agriculture (Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Plant Pathology/ Entomology / Soil Science etc.) or any other relevant discipline from any recognized institute.
• Experience Requirements: At least 5 years (s).

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work under minimal supervision and have an impact on input on program indicators.
• Excellent organization, coordination, report writing, and team management skills.
• Strong and effective communication and presentation skills.
• Advocacy skills with local and national stakeholders.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field

Job Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh.

Salary: Negotiable.
