Role: Project Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- The Project Coordinator (PC) will 100% of her/his time to this project.
- Work closely with the IRC Country team, technical and project team, and Solution Partner
- Provide contextual and operational input on the identified solution.
- Support in planning the implementation research of the identified solution.
- Test the identified solution and identify areas for improvement/change/adaptation.
- Support the adaptation of the solution.
- Co-develop evaluation tools, procedures, monitoring tools, and processes based on co-developed implementation research questions.
- Monthly evaluation data submission, including key indicators on access, learning, retention (learners), and attendance.
- Learner outreaches and enrollment
- Teacher Recruitment and teacher training support.
- Implement the adapted solution with regular, ongoing meetings with IRC and solution Partner staff,
- Conduct pilot evaluation and planning scale-up plan.
- He or She is responsible for preparing a detailed implementation plan reviewing the overall project plan, budget, and targets under the technical guidance of IRC.
- Ensure supportive supervision of the team to achieve the project objectives.
- Estimate budget forecasts and monitor expenditure and fund utilization for necessary adjustments.
- Support the MEAL Officer, Technical Officer, and another field team to prepare a micro plan (monthly and quarterly) for Upazila and unions.
- Ensure project implementation in compliance with JAGO NARI policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Prepare fund requests and liquidation documents to submit to the IRC Bangladesh in a timely.
- Monitor and control the budget for implementing the activities as per project budget planning.
- Organize advocacy, coordination, and sharing meetings with district and upazila administration and other stakeholders as per project requirements.
- Review progress against the plan on monthly basis and take appropriate corrective action (as needed).
- Conduct 30% of field visits of working hours with staff according to their work plan and provide constructive feedback (if needed). Share field findings with JAGO NARI management for their support and guidance.
- Develop and ensure appropriate tools and strategies to monitor the progress and impact of the project.
- Data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports for JAGO NARI and IRC.
- Facilitate joint monitoring visits of JAGO NARI high officials, technical partners, and donors.
- Ensure the financial and human resources are used properly by implementing and maintaining proper authentic documents as per the expectation of donors and Govt. of Bangladesh.
- Conduct field visits as per need, and keep proper documentation to make visible the project outcomes.
- Play a lead role in developing an annual plan, periodic report, documentation of learning, case study, and relevant documents as per organizational and donor requirements.
- Plan, implement, and monitor the budget and take proactive measures to keep the burn rate at an expected level.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of the inputs and take necessary corrective measures.
- Support the project team in carrying out designated works.
- Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure the smooth operation of the project.
- Authorize the purchase and advance requisition of the project.
- Arrange training programs and meetings with management committees, other partner NGOs, and different other stakeholders, including LGI, government officials, etc.
- Coordinate with the visitor, evaluation, and/or audit teams.
- Take any necessary steps with the consent of the JAGO NARI authority and the Donors in cases of emergency needs of the project.
- The project manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the project by ensuring proper monitoring and supervision.
- The project manager is also responsible for conducting other works assigned by the Program Coordinator/Program Director and Chief Executive.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of professional experience in an NGO/INGO in an education program with a particular focus on early childhood development, Education, skills development, and decent work.
- Master in any discipline with related experience; a master’s in education is preferable.
- Sound knowledge of school students’ issues, Early Childhood development issues.
- Strong English writing skills are preferable for the position.
- Field movement is required 75%.
Additional Requirements:
- Age at most 45 years should be relaxed for experienced candidates.
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Monitoring, Project Manager/ Project Coordinator/ Officer, Research, Supervision
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO.
- Excellent English/ Bangla language skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven track record of project management and excellent project financial management skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- At least 5 years of work experience in the development sector in Education, Health, GVB, and WASH in a Managerial position. Professional qualification in project management will be an added advantage.
Salary: 840,000 BDT Yearly
Benefits: as per organizational and Project policy.
Location: Rangabali upazila, under Patuakhali district.
Project period: Up to 31 October 2024, and might be possible to extend.
