Role: Finance and Accounts Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the project's financial management plan in line with World Bank standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting for project activities.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budget plans and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all World Bank financial reporting requirements and policies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the World Bank's procurement and financial management guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports in compliance with World Bank guidelines.
  • Provide regular updates to the project management team and stakeholders regarding the financial status and performance of the project.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings.
  • Work closely with project managers to establish project budgets and meet budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor expenditures and project costs, identifying areas where cost reductions or reallocations can occur.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and implement risk management measures by World Bank standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the inclusion of financial and procurement clauses that align with World Bank policies.
  • Provide training and support to project staff on financial management and World Bank compliance.
  • Foster a culture of financial responsibility and adherence to international financial standards.

Requirements:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance or Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting.
  • Preferred Professional Certification: ACCA, Chartered Accounts.
  • Experience Requirements: 7 to 10 years (s).
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
    Budget Analysis: Experienced in donor fund management.
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), NGO, Plastic/ Polymer Industry.

Additional Requirements:

  • Age 30 to 45 years.
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in international development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of World Bank financial reporting, procurement, and compliance policies.
  • Experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla and English. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • MS Word/ Advance Excel / PowerPoint/ OneNote, QuickBooks Certification, and especially the ability to report through ERP.

 

Job Location: Dhaka (Kawran Bazar).

Salary: Tk. 80000 - 100000 (Monthly).

Benefits: As per the Company policy.
