Role: Senior Finance and Administrative Officer

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Record the organization’s all kinds of daily transactions (Receipt/ Payment/Adjustment) with proper vouchers and accurate documents.
  • To support the FAM on the implementation of the Fin-Admin processes and rules/compliance with the manual.
  • To ensure the Bank deposit of the received amount against all kinds of services of the organization with proper voucher/documents.
  • To follow up on SJP daily collection and ensure daily bank deposit.
  • To maintain advanced procedure According to Manual.
  • To maintain an advance register, Cheque issue register, and Cash Book Register.
  • To take care of W&L and SJP Branch Inventory and maintain Stock register including job order encoding.
  • To conduct a monthly Store Audit.
  • To conduct a monthly SJP Client Ledger Audit in coordination with the encoder.
  • To prepare a monthly salary sheet and other benefits and ensure bank transfer on time after receiving necessary approval.
  • To prepare a daily cash closing statement and report to the Head office.
  • To take care of petty cash management.
  • To prepare monthly Budget forecasts and Budget realization statements.
  • To calculate deductions for VAT and TDS and confirm deposits to government treasury as per government law and to report to the Head office.
  • To prepare a monthly bank reconciliation statement.
  • To prepare different accounting reports as per the requirement.
  • To maintain an advance register, Cheque issue register, and Cash Book Register.
  • To maintain banking relations (new checkbook, Bank statement, etc.)

Administrative: 

  • To provide all the administrative support to the Chattogram branch (house rent/Car rent/ monthly stationery/ IT tools etc. 
  • To prepare different contracts/agreements.
  • To provide all kinds of procurement-related support to the Chattogram branch. 
  • To provide all kinds of logistic-related support to the Chattogram branch. 
  • Prepare a monthly salary sheet and other benefits and ensure bank transfer on time after receiving necessary approval. 
  • Update Fixed Asset Register. 
  • Human Resources:
    • To monitor staff attendance activities and Leave Management
    • To provide information and assistance to staff, supervisors, and council on human resource and work-related issues for the branch.
    • Participate in various events and session management when required.  

Requirements:

  • MBA (major in Accounting) / Master's degree in Accounting / any other relevant discipline (Educational qualification can be relaxed for exceptional candidates and candidates with relevant experience).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.
  • Experience in the NGO sector will be given preference.
  • Computer skills (MS Office) is a MUST.
  • Ability to use accounting software.
  • Fluent in Bangla and English (speaking and writing).
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise.
  • Knowledge of procurement process.
  • Strong interest in urban poor projects.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Job Location: Based in  Chattogram Branch. 

Salary: BDT 36,000 to 40,000 (depending on candidate’s skills and work experience)
