Role: Head of Business Development

Job Responsibilities:

Digital Business Development Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the business development strategy with a strong focus on digitalization, aligned with the MFl's overall
  • objectives and growth targets.
  • Identify new market segments, products, and services to drive revenue growth and expand the MFi's digital footprint.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging digital trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.

Digital Transformation and Innovation:

  • Lead the digital transformation initiatives, driving the adoption of digital technologies and innovative solutions across various business functions.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to identify, evaluate, and implement digital tools, platforms, and systems that enhance
  • operational efficiency, customer engagement, and data analytics.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, fintech advancements, and regulatory requirements related to digitalization in the microfinance industry.

Partnership Development and Management:

  • Identify potential partnerships and strategic alliances to support the MFI's digitalization efforts, such as collaborations with fintech companies, mobile network operators, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and establish partnerships, develop business models, and manage ongoing relationships with key partners.
  • Leverage partnerships to enhance product offerings, expand market reach, and drive customer acquisition and retention.

Product and Service Innovation:

  • Work closely with product development teams to conceptualize and develop innovative digital products and services that meet the evolving needs of microfinance customers.
  • Conduct market testing, pilot programs, and customer feedback analysis to refine and improve digital offerings.
  • Develop pricing strategies, revenue models, and business cases for new digital products and services.

Market Expansion and Customer Acquisition:

  • Identify and evaluate market expansion opportunities, both geographically and demographically, to drive customer acquisition and increase market share.
  • Develop marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the MFI's digital products and services, enhance brand awareness,
  • and attract new customers.
  • Analyse customer data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify customer segments, preferences, and opportunities for personalized digital experiences.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting progress, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct data analysis and derive insights to support data-driven decision-making and optimize business development strategies.
  • They will be responsible for managing the coaching mentoring Partnership Team and Analysis Team while ensuring deliverables as mentioned in the Job descriptions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from a reputed University.
  • Proven experience of 10-12 years in Microfinance, Telecom, MS, or Financial Institutions. 4-5 Years in a managerial position.
  • Strong Digital Acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail Oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
