Role: Senior Accounting Manager

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and ensure the timely and accurate recording of all transactions, including bank receipts, disbursements, invoices, intercompany transactions, and others.
  • Regularly ensure reconciliation of ledgers and bank statements.
  • Maintain payables reconciliation with suppliers.
  • Monitor shipment receipt shortages, make necessary adjustments, and inform management before payments to suppliers and vendors are made.
  • Prepare and submit periodic analytical reports to the Managing Director.
  • Operate and maintain a computerized accounting system / ERP.
  • Ensure effective communication with the CEO and senior management on all relevant matters.
  • Carry out the preparation and approval of requisition summaries and disbursement notes.
  • Exhibit a commitment to high professional and ethical standards in all tasks, including those assigned by management.
  • Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of the existing accounting department in collaboration with senior partners and the CEO.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to strengthen and expand the department, addressing identified gaps.
  • Play a leading role in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members, fostering a supportive and high-performing work environment.

Requirements:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting or Post Graduation in Accounting or Finance from a leading university. Chartered Accountancy (CA CC) is preferred.
  • Experience Requirements: At least 7 years (s).

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant in a Trading Company and as an Accounts Manager / Senior Accounts Executive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, as the role requires international communication with suppliers worldwide.
  • Ability to commute to our Uttara office and work night shifts Monday to Friday 8 pm to5 am. Availability for occasional Saturday shifts may be required during periods of high workload or impending tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for maintaining records and transactions, and familiarity with ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office, Internet, Email, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and multitask.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate team members.

  • Proven ability to drive and manage change, exhibiting a track record of successful departmental transformation.
  • Experience in building cohesive teams and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Job Location: Dhaka (Uttara)
