Role: Program Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Prepare concept notes, theory of change, project proposals, and budgets in the funding partner's required format.
- Operate and develop IDP project as per plan. Ensure that the program is implemented as per the design and in conformity with the log frame.
- All the interventions are carried out with quality and integrity in the community to make a deep impact in the longer term.
- Conduct monthly meetings with the Community Volunteers and develop plans for program implementation and budget utilization without any variances.
- Provided technical guidance to the community volunteers regularly through monitoring visits.
- Implementation of project activities within target villages following the project strategic plan and M/E framework.
- Ensure timely implementation of all project activities.
- Ensure the project reports are submitted on time.
- Ensure there is action reflection and learning, which is an ongoing exercise within the team and among the community leadership.
- Facilitate the establishment of community structures to ensure the sustainability of the project even after exit.
- Ensure staff performance evaluation and contribute to strategy planning.
Planning and Timely Reporting:
- Prepare and provide monthly activity plans, quarterly reports, and half-yearly and annual reports, and update the monitoring evaluation framework according to the stipulated schedules.
- Provide project-specific information to the Program and Operations Manager to update the Monthly Program review template on SharePoint.
Quality Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning:
- Develop a MEAL system for the project and provide technical support for need assessment, PDMs, and narrative and financial reports on time to management and donors.
- Make overall Planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.
- Collect simple Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) information and beneficiary stories to reflect and use for learning and improvement and donor reporting.
- Ensure and facilitate Monitoring and Evaluation information to be communicated back to villages in a way that encourages reflection and action.
- Ensure that the program is monitored by making use of the M&E framework and updated at regular intervals. If needed, program plans and budgets are revised based on the reflection of monitoring with the community and team using an adaptive programming approach.
- Develop a monthly work plan, set quarterly, half-yearly, and annual targets, and implement activities to achieve the target.
- Prepare monthly numerical and narrative reports, as well as quarterly, mid-term, and annual narrative reports for WCB, headquarters, and donor partners.
Financial Management:
- Ensure expenditures follow and comply with World Concern purchasing policies.
- Budget preparation and Planning, analyzing variance reports, recommending adjustments, and advising on program management decisions as necessary.
Personal Development, Leadership and Mentoring:
- Attend training, develop and self-assess competency profiles, receive coaching, and be continuously learning and growing inability to facilitate development.
- To provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to co-community facilitators in the implementation of the project activities within the target villages/area.
- Any other duties may be assigned, and assistance may be sought from the supervisor.
- Assist in hiring and arranging staff orientation and WC core values training
Team building:
- As a team leader, provide spiritual nurture for the OVT team. Be responsible for adhering to the Core Values and pursuit of the mission and vision of the WC always.
- Play the role of a coach and mentor to build the capacities of the team and ensure their performance is managed in line with the HR standards and guidelines.
- Identify the training needs for staff development and plan appropriate training.
- Run the project smoothly in close cooperation and coordination with CD, HR and Admin, P&OM& FC, and Program-related dept. And to attend meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Guide overall team works in the field from time to time.
Networking:
- To build effective working relationships with local government officials, service providers, and other important stakeholders.
- To build strong and cordial relationships with the community people, traditional leaders, and local CBOs.
- To be part of networks of like-minded NGOs/INGOs to share resources for strengthening program implementation and also to avoid duplication and wastage of time and resources.
- Make liaisons with the government. Related and DV or special branch activities.
Resource mobilization:
- Support the efforts of the Resource Advancement department by submitting stories of transformation and success stories.
- Perform social empowerment of the poor and their institutions (groups).
Requirements:
- Post Graduate (Social Science/ Sociology, Disaster Management/ Environmental Science or other related subjects.
- Minimum training on Training of Trainers (TOT), PRA, CRA Leadership, Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation, Disaster Management, and Point.
- Training/Teaching/Counseling Skills, Management and Supervision skills, Independent office correspondence report writing skills, Communication and Networking skills, Computer operating skills, Interpersonal skills, PowerPoint Presentation, and Net surfing.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar position in a reputable organization.
- In a country with 5 years of working experience in project management and thematic supervision and guidance of all aspects.
- Willingness to field visit (at least 50%) in the country and facing challenges.
- Willingness to travel internationally also.
- The maximum age for this post is 45 years.
- Able to drive a motorbike and interested in travelling in rural areas, having a valid driving license.
- Applicants who have working experience in holistic transformational development work on climate change, disaster risk reduction, good governance, Education, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, and women empowerment-related projects will get special priority.
- Model and demonstrate effective Christian leadership, be able to lead daily devotions, and apply scripture to discern God's direction in Planning and decision-making (Lead As Jesus practised).
- Demonstrated value-guided relational success with government, donors, and various stakeholders.
- Understands, articulates, and integrates World Concern's transformational development approach into life and all WC program and operational activities; partners with Church and Christian organizations in Bangladesh and the region.
- Should have good interpersonal skills.
- Good command of Bangla and English.
- Any other official duties may be assigned by the Country Director Program and Operations Manager or Senior Management.
Job Location: Rajapalong Area, Cox's Bazar District.
Salary: Consolidated Amount of BDT. 75,000.
