Fire breaks out in Bappa Majumdar's building

A fire broke out in the building of musician Bappa Mazumder. The incident occurred this Thursday morning at his residence in Banani.

Bappa Mazumder reported that the fire originated on the ground floor of the building. When he received a call on the intercom and attempted to leave the apartment, he found the surroundings filled with smoke and darkness. This frightened him. The heat from the fire reached his face. For a while, he stood on the balcony with his family, unsure of what to do.

In this situation, he managed to contact lyricist Shahan Kabandh, who lives nearby. After that, Bappa, along with his actress wife Tania Hossain and their two daughters, exited the building.

In a post, Bappa Mazumder wrote, “We narrowly escaped from the fire in our building. We are all safe. Immense thanks to the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense — I shudder to think what could have happened if they hadn’t acted so quickly! It was a terrifying experience, and it's still hard to process.”
