Eid is a significant occasion for all of us. Every household try to prepare some special dishes for Eid. However, in this scorching heat, eating oily and fried food may not be good for health. Here are some simple recipes that are tasty but healthy.

Aloo chaat: Take a bowl and put the cubed potatoes in it once they have been boiled. Mix thoroughly while adding the onions, green chilies, red chili powder, chaat masala, coriander, mint leaves, lime juice, salt, sweet tamarind chutney, and pomegranate seeds. Add some freshly roasted cumin powder. Serve chilled or fresh.

Chicken shashlik: First, cut the chicken breast into cubes. Then cut the onion, capsicum and tomato into cubes. Marinate the chicken with garlic-ginger paste, soya sauce, lemon juice, chili powder and salt. Then assemble and thread the chicken and vegetable into a wooden skewer. Heat 2 tablespoon oil, place the skewer and rotate it so that it cooks evenly on every side. Brush some butter and cook it for 2 minutes.

Cheese cutlet: Boil the chicken and potatoes. Mash them well. Add black pepper, salt, chaat masala, egg and breadcrumbs. Take a cube of mozzarella cheese and cover it with the mixture of chicken and potatoes. Shallow fry the cutlet until it becomes golden brown.

Hot dog slider: Hot dog buns are available nowadays. Cut the bun into half, tear it from the middle. Toast the bun for some time. Fry some sausages. Take a bun, put fried sausage, add tomato sauce, mayonnaise and mustard on top.

Chicken patties: In a frying pan with a thick bottom, heat oil. Add half cup finely chopped onions and a green chile, and cook until tender. Add the meat, garam masala, ginger and garlic paste, and turmeric, and simmer while stirring regularly until the meat's juice completely evaporates.

Once the oil separates and the chicken is thoroughly cooked, season with salt and the remaining onion and simmer. The oven should be preheated to 350 degrees.

Cut the pastry dough into appropriate shapes using a cookie cutter. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each piece of pastry before covering it with another. Beat an egg and one teaspoon of water. Brush egg to the pastry's top. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes and take out when they turn golden brown.
