Folk tales

The unique history of 'Remakri' is firmly anchored in the area's mythology and history. According to the legend, 'Rema' was a courageous and kind tribal hunter who resided in the hills outside the settlement. Rema was renowned for his superb hunting abilities and unwavering appreciation for the natural world. He frequently went into the woods in search of food for his people.

One day, Rema was hunting in the thick jungle when she stumbled upon a hurt young bird. The bird was unable to fly since it had fallen from its nest. Rema carefully took up the bird and held it in his palms after becoming moved by its misery. He brought it back to his community and saw its medical needs there.

Rema eventually formed a unique relationship with the bird, which he called 'Kri' over time. Under Rema's guidance, Kri became stronger and ultimately recovered her flight. On the other hand, Kri decided to stay and join Rema, growing to be his faithful friend. As the townspeople observed Rema and Kri's special bond, they started calling Rema's house 'Rema's Kri', which later became Remakri.
