At least 10 people were killed in a road accident in Amtali upazila of Barguna district on Saturday.
The deceased were going to attend a wedding event through a microbus.
Amtali Police Station chief Shakhawat Hossain Tipu said the accident took place when the microbus plunged into a canal after a bridge connecting Naura and Haludia Bazar collapsed on the water body around 1:45 pm on Saturday, according to bdnews24.com.
Later, rescuers recovered 10 bodies. Amtali Upazila Parishad Chairman Golam Sarwar Forkan said the victims include women and children.
