Detectives and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in an anti-narcotics drive in different parts of the capital arrested 25 people on charges of selling and possessing drugs in 24 hours till 6 am on Monday.
During the drives, 378 pieces of Yaba pills, 360 grams of heroin, 2.950kg of hemp, 20 liters of liquor and 71 bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from the possessions of the arrestees, reports UNB.
As part of the DMP’s regular anti-drug drive, Detective Branch (DB) and local police stations started the drive against illegal drugs from 6:00 am on Sunday.
A total of 19 cases were registered with local police stations against the arrested people under the Narcotics Control Act.
