44 policemen killed during anti-discrimination movement: Police headquarters

The police headquarters on Sunday released a list of 44 police personnel who were killed during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

According to a press statement issued from the Police headquarters’ media wing on Sunday, among the deceased were 21 constables, 11 sub-inspectors (SIs), 7 assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs), 3 inspectors, one Assistant Town Sub-Inspector (ATS), and one naik.

Of the dead, 24 were killed on August 5, 14 were killed on August 4, and the remaining members were killed at various other times.
