The government has promoted 47 superintendents of police (SPs) to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (Adi-DIG) in Grade 4.
The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.
Habibul Hasan, senior assistant secretary, signed the notification on behalf of the President, according to media reports.
Among the newly promoted Adi-DIGs, 12 were serving as superintendents of district police.
