Awami League-nominated mayoral candidate Abul Khair Abdullah has won the Barishal City Corporation elections.
According to private television channels, he bagged 87,752 votes in all 126 centres, while his nearest rival, Islami Andolan Bangladesh's mayoral candidate Mufti Syed Faizul Karim, got 34,345 votes.
