ACC asks BIWTA engineer, three others to submit wealth statements

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked BIWTA additional chief engineer Mohammad Saidur Rahman and three others to submit their wealth statement to it.

Director of ACC Head Office Akhtar Hossain Azad issued separate notices in this regard, reports UNB.

Additional chief engineer (Dredging Division) BIWTA, Dhaka Saidur Rahman, his wife Shamima Akhter and former manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd's Sonargaon Office of Narayanganj Mohammad Shahidul Islam are among those who have been served the notice

The notice sought statement of their all immovable or movable properties acquired in the names of their own and their dependents.

The source of income and the detail information on how those were acquired will have to be submitted to the ACC within 21 working days of receiving the notice.

If they fail to submit the statements of assets within the stipulated time or submit false statement, action will be taken against them as per Sub-section (2) of section 26 the Anti-Corruption Commission Act.
