Akij Group has handed over materials to assist police, doctors and nurses working to fight against the coronavrius situation, says a press release.
Millions of people in the country are facing the crisis and are compelled to stay at home while thousands of police members, doctors and nurses are fighting to their best in the field against the invisible enemy.
To protect the health of doctors and nurses at Kurmitola General Hospital, Akij has recently provided medical equipment and financial assistance to the hospital. Sheikh Jamil Uddin, director of Akij Textile Mills Limited, handed over the materials to the Director of the hospital Brigadier General Jamil Ahmed and Assistant Director Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Wahab.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Police is working tirelessly to ensure social distance everywhere in the country. Akij Food and Beverages Limited, another affiliated company of Akij Group, has distributed masks and spa drinking water among the Dhaka range police in honour of these fighters.
Akij Group Chairman Sheikh Nasir Uddin handed over the materials recently to Dhaka Range DIG Habibur Rahman in presence of Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed.
The IGP expressed his gratitude to Akij Group for these grants.
