Amar Desh Editor Mahmudur Rahman returns home

Amar Desh Editor Mahmudur Rahman returned to Bangladesh from Turkey on Friday morning after more than five years.

The journalist landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 9:00 am, according to local news portals.

Leaders and members of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists, Dhaka Union of Journalists, Sammilita Peshajibi Parishad and a huge number of people accorded a warm reception to Mahmudur Rahman at the airport.

Zahed Chowdhury, the news editor of Amar Desh newspaper, said Mahmudur Rahman will first visit his ailing mother at a hospital.
