Another Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim dies

Another Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim, the second Bangladeshi pilgrim, has died in Saudi Arabia during this year’s Hajj journey.

The deceased was identified as Md. Mustafa (89), according to local media reports.

The information was provided in a bulletin released by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at 2:00 am on Sunday.

Earlier, on May 15, a Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim, identified as Md Asaduzzaman, died in Saudi Arabia.

So far, 28,760 pilgrims have travelled to Saudi Arabia to conduct the Hajj. Of them, 3,747 went under a government travel package while the remaining 25,013 bought a private Hajj package.

They arrived in Saudi Arabia aboard 72 flights as of 2:00 am Sunday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said.

Of these flights, 28 were operated by Biman Bangladesh, 26 by Saudi Arabian Airlines, and 20 by Flynas.
