A Bangladeshi was killed in India’s Border Security Force (BSF) firing along the Angorpota-Dahagram border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rafiul Islam Tuklu, 33, son of Afzal Hossain of Patgram upazila, according to local media reports.
BGB official said that Tuklu entered India through the border around 4:30 am when a patrol team of Arjun Camp under BSF Battalion-6 in West Bengal's Cooch Behar district of India opened fire.
Tuklu was shot and died on the spot, the BGB official said.
Earlier on January 23, a sepoy of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) died after being shot by the BSF at the Benapole border in Jashore district.
