Another Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim has died in Saudi Arabia during this year’s Hajj journey.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed the victim as 61-year-old Maksud Ahmed in its Hajj bulletin on Tuesday.
Maksud, hailed from Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar district, breathed his last in Madinah on Sunday.
With this, the death toll of Bangladeshi pilgrims has risen to ten so far in Saudi Arabia, seven died in Makkah and three in Madinah.
A total of 58,121 Bangladeshi pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia since the start of the Hajj flight. Of them, 3,747 went under a government travel package while the remaining 54,374 bought a private Hajj package.
They arrived in Saudi Arabia aboard 149 flights as of 3:00 am Monday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said.
