Bangladesh on Sunday recorded one Covid-19 death and 34 coronavirus-positive cases.
“Bangladesh reported 5.92 per cent Covid-19 positive cases after testing 574 samples during the last 24 hours,” a daily statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in Dhaka.
During the period, the combined number of coronavirus infections in Dhaka district and the capital was 32, while zero Covid-19 deaths were reported in Dhaka.
The official tally showed that the virus has killed a total of 29,481 people and infected 20,46,758 so far.
The recovery count rose to 20,14,171 after another four patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the last 24 hours, the statement added.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 98.51 per cent Covid-19 patients recovered, while 1.44 per cent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
