Battery-run rickshaws to be regulated, DMP chief says

Battery-powered rickshaws in Dhaka will soon be subject to licensing and taxation to curb traffic congestion, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjad Ali has said.

If left unregulated, it would be difficult for people to navigate the capital, he said while exchanging views with police, students, and residents of the Ramna Model Thana area in the capital’s Kakrail on Saturday.
